Oldest Shelter Resident Sleeps Peacefully With a Grin After Discovering a Permanent Home

Betty, a one-year-old dog, is already the oldest resident at his shelter in North Carolina, US. On the other hand, this dog is very friendly. According to the Dodo, it is sure to bring joy to the family.
Your dog deserves a better life
His first shelter filled up quickly, and potential adopters were not interested in him. Volunteers will then rehome him at the SPCA of Wake County in hopes that he will have additional opportunities to find happiness.
Beatty, with his unparalleled enthusiasm, would be equally unanimous. “He was very friendly and fun from day one,” recalls Samantha Ranlett, publicist for the shelter. It’s hard for us to believe that no one wants it.

A few weeks after Betty’s picture was posted on their website, volunteers were contacted by a family interested in adopting him. This dog literally “fell in love” with her. Betty will only stay at this new shelter for one month, which is “melting the hearts” of its members.
Betty can no longer hide his joy at his adoption
The four-legged animal has settled perfectly into his new home. “He likes to sleep in bed, play ball, and smell the four corners of the garden.” He shares his home with another dog and is adored by all the other canines he meets.
Betty sleeps with a smile on his face every night because he is so happy with his fate. “It’s the smile of a dog who knows he’s home,” shelter members said.
This dog, who was always happy despite everything, now has more than one reason to be happy. Betty and his family set out for a lifetime on a wonderful adventure.
